FAQ

Frequently asked questions about our products, shipping, and usage.

What is the difference between a Pyrex and a ceramic cup?

Pyrex cups are transparent, so you can see the arc while you weld. That is especially useful for precision work, because you see straight away whether the weld is well protected. Ceramic cups are more robust and handle heat better, which makes them the sensible choice for long welds and heavy work. For titanium and stainless steel we recommend Pyrex, because of the better visibility. Our blog has a longer explanation of the difference.

Does the cup fit my torch?

Our cups fit standard WP9, WP17, WP18 and WP26 TIG torches. On every product page you will find the exact torch type and size per option, so check that before you order. For a WP17, WP18 or WP26 torch some cups need a gas lens adapter, which you can order separately in the shop. If you are not sure, contact us and tell us which torch you have. We are happy to help you choose.

What are the shipping costs?

We ship free on orders above € 100. Below that, flat shipping rates apply, depending on the country you order from. You see the exact shipping costs in your cart before you pay, so there are no surprises at checkout.

How long does delivery take?

Orders placed before 15:00 on business days are dispatched the same day. Delivery within the Netherlands usually takes 1 to 2 business days. International delivery takes 3 to 7 business days. As soon as your parcel is on its way, you receive an email with a tracking link. Products marked as on order have a longer delivery time, and we will let you know what to expect.

What is the TIGWARE diffuser system?

A standard cup has one flow surface. TIGWARE has three. That is not a marketing term, it is simply how the cup works. The gas passes through three layers of mesh before it reaches the weld pool, which gives a more even gas shield and a calmer flow. The result is a stable weld pool and a noticeable improvement in weld quality, especially on materials that are sensitive to contamination.

Can I return products?

Yes, within 14 days of receipt. Products must be unused and in the original packaging. Please contact us first before you send anything back, so that we can tell you how to do it and make sure your return arrives with the right details. Once we have received the product, we refund the purchase amount.

Do you also sell to businesses?

Yes. For recurring orders we offer business pricing. Contact us with the products and quantities you have in mind, and we will send you a quote.
